The spirit of Bambuco

When you start playing our Marimbas, you will feel the wave that each Key emanates in conjunction with the Canute. The wave that runs through the Key is transmitted by sympathy to the mass of air that contains the Canute, the air vibrates at the same frequency that the Key transmitted to it. It is fascinating to perceive the air wave that resembles the sound of the water currents of a river.

Experimentation in Wood

MMP Artisanal Music Laboratory Workshop since 2004, has worked on the experimentation of physical phenomena with mathematical calculations, using wood as a base. The Acoustic Diffusers and the construction of our marimbas are examples of years of study about acoustics.

Softness and Delicacy

The warm, firm hands to rest the Gouge on the grain of the wood, the edge of the chisel ready to remove the small splinter from the trunk. The plump wood opens into curled shavings and we dream of the tree, of its branches, its roots, its leaves, the sap that feeds it evaporates and floods the environment with its woody perfume.
